Happy Days Preschool / English Valleys ElementaryVision Statement:
The English Valleys Community School District, in partnership with community members, envisions that all three-year-old and four-year-old children in the English Valleys School District and surrounding areas will be provided access to quality preschool programming.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the English Valleys Community School District preschool program is to provide high quality educational opportunities for three-year-olds and four-year-olds, so they can experience success and build a foundation for future learning.
Philosophy Statement:
We realize that children come to preschool with varying strengths, abilities, backgrounds, and interests. Likewise, all children develop at different rates and are ready to engage in learning experiences at various times and levels. We believe children learn best through a research-based curriculum that stimulates developmentally appropriate learning and integrates social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. The English Valleys preschool program community (students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, and community members) will work cooperatively to ensure a balanced educational program is implemented to nurture the development of the whole child.
Background:
In July 2009, Happy Days Preschool at English Valleys Elementary was fortunate to be a recipient of one of the state’s Voluntary Preschool grant for four-year-old students.
